Hardness Measurement

Hardness Measurement is used for viewing the materials mechanic ability, like abrasion resistance and strength.
By measurement we can view deformations and identify the material resistively. To accomplish a hardness measurement test, we have to press a body with higher hardness against the material surface at a spesific force. There are different hardness measurements techniques and the results are depending on which method being used. The method is for this reason always given with the results.

Some examples for using hardness measurement:

Control of welding
Control of finished harden treated material, to checking the hardness and harden depth.
Check tensile strength of the material where it is difficult to take tensile tests.
Quality control in accordance with order and client requirements
Quality control of hardness in cast iron.
