NCE Raufoss

The industrial cluster with its core in Raufoss Industrial Park has in 2006 been appointed "Norwegian Centre of Expertice" (NCE) by the Norwegian Government. NCE-Raufoss shall be the leading edge within its core competences, mainly materials technology and automated production. The centre - called NCE-Raufoss - is a cooperation between the companies in the cluster, R&D-partners globally and national and regional public contributors. The goal is to further strenghten the  competence in the cluster and be a competence centre for Norwegian industry through a common effort in R&D and innovation on a global scale. The centre and the cluster development process will be managed by RTIM, as the clusters strongest integrator.

NCE Raufoss is a collaboration between a consortium of 14 industrial companies, the TotAl-group (a network of small and medium sized companies working mainly in aluminium) and a large network of partners nationally and internationally. Overall the cluster has an annual turn-over exceeding 4,5 billion norwegian kroner, employing more than 3000 people with an export ratio of 85 %.

Raufoss has an industrial tradition of more than one hundred years of international industrialisation. To read more about the industry at Raufoss please click here.
