Engineering workshop
We take total or part delivery of nearly all types of engineering workshop commissions. We don’t need completed sketches or material specification to perform a job. We like to work as a team player for our costumers. With our different competence and long experience, we have a lot to offer. All of our machines are being subject to preventive maintenance and all measure tools is certificated.
Personnel at the engineering workshop
- We have 2 toolmakers with long practical experiences within manufacturing of prototypes.
- 5 machinists that are machinating details and test stick for using in material testing. They perform all types of methods in the machinist profession.
- 1 apprentice in toolmaker profession.
- 1 certificated welder that dominates all types of welding and soldering of materials that can be welded. The welder is certificated by an EWI- inspector and can draw up welding procedure. Our welding specialist can perform welding training and certificated in collaboration with “Det Norske Veritas”.
In the experiment hall we have 3 employees whom is working warm and cold materials, induction heating details, heat treatment materials, and testing forming processes and implement, plus produce small series and prototypes. The staff can give consultant assistance to costumers in tools and process questions.
The engineering workshop has traditional machine tools, someone manual and someone new CNC- controlled:
- 2 CNC lathes
- 2 CNC controlled milling machines
- 5 manual lathes
- 4 manual milling machines
- 2 verticals and 1 horizontal band saw
- 1 cold saw
- 2 boring machines
Experiment hall has 4 hydraulic presses, where the lagers press takes over 1000 ton and the smallest takes 100 ton. The experience hall has also a high frequency aggregate on 50 kW and some heat treatment ovens to preheating of forging material and tools. We can also heat treated aluminum.
Welding workshop has new universal equipment for welding for welding qualified materials with TIG, MIG, adequate electrodes and gas welding.
RTIM has a drop test tower that’s 12 meter high and has a steel floor on 2,3 x 3 meters. The lift capacitive is on 1000kg and can drop test fluid filled details.
Continue pursue of commissions
The section for workshop service has a big network around them, and can continue pursue customers with interest partners to do the jobs we don’t have the equipment or the competence to perform.
